Who I am

This site belongs to Daniel Chappell. I am responsible for any personal details you share through it.

What I collect

When you make an advisory enquiry: the support you are looking for, the stage of your business, your name and email, and, if you choose to add them, your company, website and what a great outcome would look like.

If you book a call, Calendly collects the details needed to schedule it.

When you join the newsletter: your first name, surname, email address and gender (you can choose “Prefer not to say”).

Why

To reply to your enquiry, arrange and prepare for our call, and follow up about it. I rely on legitimate interests in responding to people who contact me, and on taking steps you have asked for before any engagement.

If you join the newsletter, I use your details to send it and to understand who reads it. That relies on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time with the unsubscribe link in every email.

Who else handles it

They may process data in the United States under their data processing terms, with safeguards approved for international transfers. I do not sell or share your details with anyone else.

How long

Enquiries that do not lead to work are deleted within 12 months. Newsletter subscribers are kept until they unsubscribe.

Cookies and storage

This site uses no cookies and no advertising or cross-site tracking. It counts visits with Vercel Web Analytics, which records the pages viewed, the site that referred you, and your country, browser and device type. It sets no cookies and stores no personal information: a visit is recognised only by an anonymous code that is discarded after 24 hours, and I only see totals. For the length of your visit your browser keeps a small flag so the opening animation plays only once, plus any unfinished enquiry so you do not lose your answers. Both are cleared when you close the tab. The embedded Calendly calendar sets its own cookies and offers its own consent choices. beehiiv, which sends the newsletter, records whether each email is opened and which links are clicked, so I can see what readers find useful. Every email has an unsubscribe link.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your details, or object to how they are used. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
